GUINNESS WORLD RECORD.

Stig Åvall Severinsen from Denmark swims 72m (236.22ft) under ice in the Danish lake Knudsø in Ry.
Wearing nothing but speedos and a diving mask he made the dive in 1.26 minutes.
This dives beat the the 10 year old record of 57.5 m (188.6ft) held by Dutch extreme pioneer Wim Hof.
The event was arranged by Stig Åvall Severinsens company BlueConsult - www.blueconsult.biz - which is specialized in techniques for efficient breathing, breath holding and mental control in stress ful situations. Other partners were N. O. W Dive (owned by expert diver Ben Bos), Danish Sports Diving Federation and finally Aarhus Freediving Club.
