Rorschach the 3rd's "Passchendaele" review

The most expensive Canadian movie ever made. A movie promising a WW1 epic that finally acknowledges Canadian contributions, but only AFTER the sappiest love story since "Titanic".

The killer is that after the skirmish, the Jesus bit and walking the kid back to the Camp, the doctor who checks on the kid just declares "by the way, we've taken Passchendaele, congratulations". That is seriously the last line of the movie.

aaahh - cant watch this review yet if it contains a spoiler - we have a war night once a week with mates and this is one of the films we have yet to watch - will have to check out your review once i have watched it.

I gotta say, I was overall let down by Passchendaele. Most of the movie was just melodramatic cliches, but at least the battle itself was very well filmed (up until the very preachy ending).
