How does the cost compare to the old water heater?

@muserwood I don't really know. We switched to "Clean Currents" from "Pepco" for our electricity at about the same time. Our bills have been lower. My wife thinks it's mainly from the electric company switch. All I can really say is it's not more, perhaps about the same, maybe a bit less electricity usage with electric tankless.

OK. If I repalce the ETWH you show in this video to my existing tank water heater cold water supply, will that mean I would get the same hot water flow in my bath room shower meanwhile someone in kitchen able to wash dishes with hot water without problem?

@utubmania2009 Generally yes you can have hot water in two places at once. It depends on how cold the water is coming into your home. It also depends on how which model of tankless water heater you get. If you live in Florida a model that has only one 60 amp line coming in is ok. If you are in Maryland, you should get one with two 60 amp lines. If you live in Maine get one with three 60 amp lines.

@recurvemacman 3X 60 amp ? Isn't that mean it consumes more electricity than the regular water heater tank?

@utubmania2009 Yes it's a lot of electricity but for a short amount of time. 3 x 60 amp is actually about a 150 amp draw when it's working its hardest. It pulls at most 50 amps from each 60 amp circuit. That *is* a lot but it is only in the start up phase to get the elements hot quickly and it quickly tapers down. Plus, it is only on while you need hot water.

My Titan tankless water heter lasted less then two years, Replace with a new 50 gallon tank unit never happier! I'll use my solar enegry to power it!

i think a solar water heater tied into this,this way the sun heats the water before it gets heated in the heated water unit ,and will save on heating a colder water and saves on electric bill

OK, Riddle me this. Why would you run the water line directly in front of the panel instead of putting a couple of bends in it and running it along the side? And another thing. Thats not a truck, A truck doesnt have an enclosed bed with folding seats. Next time you should try using a dolly to move things into your wannabe truck. This video didnt teach me anything. I may be dumber having watched it.

@recurvemacman Thanks in maryland as well tired of the water heater running out of hot water and the water doesnt get that hot.
