I just got my first pair of sticks a 5b pair and the Stick Control book. Very excited about this new path I'm taking and I'll be referring to your videos. However my drumset at the moment is nothing more than a really thick book.

@nuke97 That 'll work. I first started on a straw hat that used to make a crisp hi hat sound and some books of different thicknesses. I took lessons for a year with just a practice pad.Now I'm glad I did because I learned the correct way. As a famous person Chris Gardner, (the real person whom the movie "Persuit of Happyness was based on) once said..."Start where you are". best of luck
