  • Well they probably know exactly how each other is feeling. And cataplexy is caused by emotions. So if one sees the other drop he probably just gets so worried about him that he drops too. lol. Kinda cute. Two peas in a paralyzed pod. ha ha.

  • those dogs aint ya, they can take that. i pats my rotweiler to when she does something good. doesnt feel pain

  • I really appreciate this video, thank you for posting it. It was really interesting to see the two dogs together and the particulars of narcolepsy in a group dynamic. Kudos!

  • looks more like myasthenia gravis

  • Aww my dog has cataplexy. When he gets really excited, he begins running around, stops, his head droops, his front legs give way, and then he collapses. The first time this happened my family thought he died, but he was still breathing. After about 40 seconds he stands up. It's amusing but I just feel bad when he collapses on the hard ground. Hopefully he doesn't hurt himself and get bruises.

  • @JimboWoodo

I have narcolepsy and cataplexy. Most people with cataplexy can "fight" the attack to some degree, which really just prolongs the inevitable but does not completely block the attack. But when you give up this attempt to resist or fight the loss of muscle strength, the paralysis comes on fully. So here we see two dogs that are basically having partial paralysis because they are struggling so hard to play. When one of them finally goes, it makes the other relax or be submissive.

  • its amazing how both of them get down at the same time
