  • this song means so much to me. it really brings back memories of my lost loved ones. it makes me feel close to them. it actually makes me want to cry. I know... it sounds bad, but it's true.

  • @totoni2000 Debussy never makes me cry, but I can understand very well that music can make someone cry. Don't apologize...

  • Tomita really captured the ethereal atmosphere of Debussy!

  • @rehtafsedaj777 Can somebody help me and give me the english translation of the french sentence "tu ne crois pas si bien dire" ? Thx.

So, @rehtafsedaj777, you "ne crois pas si bien dire", my father overwhelmed us (my sister, my brothers and myself) with classical music and I was up to find classical music sounds boring. Because of this, I didn't even listen anymore. And one day, Tomita-San arrived into my life and helped me to appreciate Debussy, Holst, Stravinsky, and so on.

  • @vincentjacque Tu dis:"You don't say so"/Tu ne crois pas si bien dire.

  • @rehtafsedaj777 I think "you don't say so" means "ce n'est pas ce que tu dis. IMHO, after reflection, "tu ne crois pas si bien dire" means "you're closer than you believed to what you wanted to say".

  • And now, thanks to Tomita, I can appreciate those composers, especially Debussy who is my favourite one! I'm just glad I was born too late to meet Claude Debussy himself, because he was very bad tempered, arrogant and conceited. Only Erik Satie could resist to Debussy's arrogance. But fortunately, I hadn't to endure the man Debussy and I may enjoy his compositions. :-)

  • Planeta Imaginario intro. Television española, años 80.

  • @totoni2000

I think we all feel the same way, you said it for me.

  • @vincentjacque I found Debussy back in 1978 when a room mate who was into heavy metal, had a Tomita album. And that lead me to Clair de lune, my all time favorite.

  • El planeta imaginario

  • wonderful to hear this again after so many years... ty x

  • Man, I really want to grow a moustache, buy a Member's Only jacket and wear a toupee now, and I'm not even BALD.

Save me a spot on the planetary ring, Jack.

    KEEP LOOKING UP, STARGAZERS!

  • This song means so much to me!! Many years ago, I lived to watch "Star Hustler" every weeknight before WEDU signed off. Jack Horkheimer and his instruction taught me so much about our Solar System and, in particular, interstellar space. Because of Jack's inspiration, I studied Stellar Astronomy under Dr. William Keller. Now, when I gaze up at Sirius, the Belt of Orion and Aldeberon at night, I hear this song in my mind, think of Jack and know that all of us are made of stardust!!! @_@

  • @vincentjacque I'm from Montreal i'm fluent in French and English the adaptation of that phrase is exact...You are translating it literally...Ce que je te dis est exacte mon ami!-Google translator.it's free!
