MOODS #2 (1985): Kent Farbach

Moods (for Bb Clarinet & Piano) is one of the early chamber works I wrote during my first year of study towards a Bachelor of Music at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music, Griffith University.

Even though my composing style may have become more 'sophisticated' in recent years, I still enjoy listening to the innocence of this early work when I was heavily influenced by jazz and impressionistic French composers such as Ravel and Debussy.
The work is performed here by Philippa Robinson (Clarinet) and Josephine Allan (piano). This recording comes from their CD 'Sospiri' on the Innaminka label
