Yes it does. The water needs to be between 87 and 92 degrees.

Does the water need to be certain temp. I see these industrial tubs with heated water being sold as units by hydro suppliers.

@grottyyachty1 Thanks for the reply. It was a bit tough dipping this. It was like pushing a real big basketball in the water. But it worked great. After the clear was put on it was real nice.

Dude occ did a bike where they dipped the fenders and tank in $100 bills :) thats way cool man.

like the way that tank came out, it will catch some looks. for the base coat using this hydro dip stuff can it be any base coat ? i see the kits have there own base coat and i dident know if it had to be a special paint with there primer and top coat, i seen on here people kandy over the prints and it looks kewl and use auto clear so i dont think the base would matter but before i screw things up i thought i would ask some one who has done this before :) thanks

How much does this cost? it has to be relatively cheap compared to painting right?

@Incrediblauh It within reason. Getting something like this done lets say with a air brush wouldn't be cheap. Dipping is the way to go.
