More vacuous bollocks from David Mitchell. He's a witty and perceptive individual so all the more disappointing that the only thing he wants to talk about in these youtube videos is inconsequential shit. How gives a solitary fuck how valet is pronounced really. So much more important stuff in the world to talk about.

Two examples I remember dealing with whilst growing up.
Is it the Pantry or the Larder?
Is it the remote control or the clicker?
I found out when I was about 14 that my family must have been the only one to refer to a remote control as 'the clicker'. I don't know why my parents call it that but I was brought up to use that name.
Is that weird?
