They are one and the same with different roles. No one is bigger or smaller.

Namaste. My dear devotees, its my pleasure and fortune to speak amongst you devotees of my Lord. I hope you will correct me if i am wrong. I just thought that Bholenath is the destroyer of tamasic forces and Govind Murari is the protector of sattvic forces. My dear devotees, pls help me to understand whether both the functions are same or different.Thanks. Namaste.

@kannangurudasan In a way it does. Because if you show great devotion and chant the names of Vishnu or Krishna then he will surely show mercy and his greatness towards you.

Dear Friends, i have one question. Does the Greatness of Lord depends on our feelings and views? Om

@omkara011 You could say that Visnu is a plenary portion of Krishna.

@diliprai Sounds like a bunch of nonsense to me.

@g1391978 The commentary on vedanta sutra written by Vyas is Srimad Bhagavatam...All the vedic literature says one thing...Raso vai sah...The supreme being is full of Rasa, this is Krishna. Shiva is the guna avatar residing over tamo guna. All vedic literature addresses the faith of a person and by following its prescriptions gradually elevates them to the devotional service of sri krishna...in that way it is relative to your qualification. but supremely speaking, it is not relative.
why krishna are higher as shiva because
he protects everything

If you had really worshiped Lord Shiva then this thing would have become clear to you that Lord Shiva worships Krishna & Lord Ram and in turn Lord Ram & Lord Krishna worships Lord Shiva.
Ultimately, both are one bcoz lord is one. If you had watched complete Krishna then this would have become clear to you.

Shiva and Krishna r not the same. Krishna is Bhagavan(God) and Shiva is just a great demigod. Amongst the devotees of Krishna considering Shive God is a sin. If u read the Bhagavad Gita then it is stated there that even Shiva and Bhrama surrender onto the lotus feet of Sri Krishna because Krishna is the Lord of all.

@asdfg8943 : I honour your thoughts it all depends on what you believe in. If you read Shiv Mahapuran then everything originates from Shiva, similarly if you read Ramacharitmanas then everything originates from Lord Ram, similarly with Bhagvat Mahapuran. All are same no difference at all. It is the perspective by which you look at. It doesn't matter you see from heads or tails a coin is still a coin and has same monetary value.
