To all of you tremendously stupid and uneducated PETA-Treehuggers out there parroting the same stupid "safe simba" mantras over and over again: This obviously was a LEGAL hunt, wich means, that the hunter paid up to 20.000,- US$ game fee for that lion! This money goes directly to that specific national park the hunt was in and is used to keep the park intact, control anmial populations and prevent wildlife crimes such as poaching. Only a very small part of the animal population may be hunted.

For all you anti hunters out there these men do not look like sport hunters rather than conservation officers. They appear to be in uniform. Hunt like this are often to put a lion out of its misery, Lions when injured or old are kicked out of their pride by their own members. These lions often cause many problems like attacking humans or live stock, which causes locals to kill many more "innocent lions". These men are performing a job that could easily get them killed or worse. Dangerous job.

@mojofish1 Yes, even wolves do this. They will kill a weak, injured, wounded, sick, and sometimes young animal, putting it out of it's misery. ( I'm not saying that young animals need to die. In fact, I love all animals. I will NEVER kill an animal.)

OK. i would have liked to curse and rant but here is the alternative. This guy is freakin brave. good shot. excellent concentration. and i know it was a legal well paid for hunt. this pro hunter . the guy with the beard. he is a brilliant Pro Hunter so give him the due. he knows what should be done and what is done to have a fairly safe hunt. well done boys. just a pity it was a lion and not an antilope.
