I am not Biafra historian, but... But his lyrics always seemed to take a more nihilistic, absurdist and leftist social outlook. It seems to be he was just weary Brownesque "laid-back" liberals who would be willing to use force and coercion to impose their outlook. For example, I hate McDonalds, I refuse to ever go there; but it would be a bad direction for the Government to ban the store and shut them all down. McDonald's dying would be good, but that approach would be tyrannical.

Brown going beyond progressive liberal into totalitarian territory a la huey long, was that oppression can occur under any regime, including one that you mostly agree with, a message similar to the socialist George Orwell's book 1984 set in a Socialist England

The glove is to protect against any goverment placed chemicals(paranoia).Mixing any soluable drugs with D.M.S.O(please reference the song on "Bedtime for Democracy')will be absored thru the skin. Two gloves were usually worn one must have broken by this song.Sweat & constant wiping of the mic would also help feel that any contaminats were removed.
