"Christina!!" Sam's voice brought me back to the real world. I sighed then got up and ran down stairs, bad idea. There was a boy standing next to her, thankfully he was turned the other way. She gave me a look. "Hey, honey this is your cousin, Garrett." He turned around and was, well stuning.
"Oh hey," I shook his hand, which was cold like mine. "I didn't know I had a cousin?"
"Um, we aren't blood, kind of like a ...vampire thing." He smiled. Okay, he is a vampire too. Thats..cool.
"Yeah, he is going to be staying with us for a few months," Sam explanned.
"Oh, cool. Are you going to go to school with me," I asked.
"Um, yeah. Just to you know, so I don't have to go to collage with this lady here," he laughed and put his arm around my mom's shoulder.
"very funny mister!" She laughed then shrugged off his arm. "Tina, can you show him around? I have to work on some papers, it's almost morning."
"It is?!"
"Yes, it's 4a.m. Wow, you have been out of it lately! You didn't even know I was home did you?"
"Um, no. I didn't Sam I'm sorry," I sighed. "I just, um I don't know."
"Well, don't get sloppy," she smiled then walked off to her..wherever she's going.
"So um, that you Jaguar out there?" Garrett asked me as we took a seat at our table.
"Yeah, I don't usually drive it around...people...but the girl I baby-sit for wants a ride in it, and her brother wants to drive it so I'm going to bring it to school tomorrow." I laughed.
"Oh, she is human?"
"Yeah.."
"Oh, you like this boy," he asked studing my face.
"What, no why do you think that?"
"Because your eyes changed colors when you talk of him."
"They did? What color," I asked.
"They went from blue to chocolate," he said.
"Really? They have never been chocolate before!"
"Well," he laughed, "I guess you have never been in love before this..human..."
"Oh, well....I guess not...I didn't know I loved him, I-I just met him!"
"Love comes fast and takes forever to leave and sometimes it doesn't," Garrett said.
"Oh, well I have to go..think...." I got up and ran. I ran and ran. I'm not sure how long I ran or where but I ran away from all my problems. I couldn't be in love with a human could I? I collapesed on a fallen log and put my head in my hands. What happens when you fall in love with a human? Has it happened before? What did they do? Did they...change...one? I screamed into the woods. What do I do now? Should I stay away? I can't, not now. He...means to much...even after two days. I groanded then ran back to my house and straight up to my room with out even shifting a paper. After I got ready for school I went back to the kitchen where Garrett was waiting.
"Time for school," he asked.
"Yeah, come on," I ran out to the garage and go into the drivers seat of my baby. Garrett appeared next to me then I backed out. We drove to school in silence until he broke it as I drove into the school's parking lot.
"So what's the story?"
"You are my cousin, mothers side, from," I parked then looked over at him. "Michigan, your 18 and um. that's it right?"
"Okay then." He nodded then got out of the car.
"Crap!" I got out too.
"What?"
"You don't have a ride home! That means you have to go baby sitting with me!" I slammed the top of my car with my fist.
"CHRISTINA!!" He yelled then ran, normally as in humanly, then looked around. After making sure nobody was watching or looking he fixed the dent. "Calm down!"
"I'm sorry! I just- UGH!"
"Hey, calm," he ran his hands up and down my arms, calming me.
"Christina?" I turned at Joe's voice
