  • Being from poland and as a new computer science grad from American college my experience was exactly the contrary. It took 3 months for me to land an OK offer while most of my American classmates got offers earlier than me. Many companies came to the on-campus job fair with a 'No sponsorship for H1B's', because of the saved cost and hassles from the immigration procedures.

It is clear that many companies will not sponsor H1B if they can hire an American

  • Tom voted for the Military Commissons Act of 2006. So if you want to let the Feds round you up and put you in the miliary bases they closed down then forget this and be held without charges then forget he voted for this. For sound money, civil liberties, secure borders and no police state/preemptive war Ron Paul. For an 8 X 10 cell anyone else.

  • Nothing to think about.Crossing our borders illegally is a violation of our laws..I say get our troops out of Iraq and put them on our borders with orders to shoot to kill

  • IvyLeeger - (Moron)H1-B visas are one of the main avenues available to foreign workers to gain lawful

entry to the U.S. and obtain employment authorization. They are available in

increments of up to 3 years, up to a total of 6 years and can under certain conditions

be extended beyond the sixth year and "ported" from one employer to another.

  • News Flash - July 18 - Congress is selling out again!!

SHAME on Sen. Cornyn (R-TX)- call him - email him

There is an attempt to amend the defense authorization bill (HR 1585) with increases to H-1B. In case you haven't been keeping up with the news -- HR 1585 is the bill that is being debated all night on the issue of Iraq. Sen. Cornyn (R-TX) is the ringleader of this insidious plot but he has co-conspirators such as Obama, Clinton, Kerry, Durbin, Lieberman, Hagel, and Feinstein.

  • I agree with you HariRamNai but DirtDiggerman needs to be educated about Skills,Education and Economy and I am going to keep doing it till this thing rests.

  • Mr DirDiggerman,

Just answer my questions from the posts . I am trying to be logical with you. I am not doing a BS. You are not going to gain anything being admant. Practically you know that Tommy will not make the primaries. So stop dreaming and come to the reality. I will clear all your confusions about H1b . So keep writing !!!

  • DirtDiggerMan,

What do you think American population is dumb that they don't understand skills, education and economy ? No they are not. There are bunch of hate mongers like Loooo and Tommy trying to create a phobia. H1b has been into existence from 20 years but no one cried. Why suddenly when economy is booming and unemployment is all time low ? just honestly answer this question and you will get your own answer PAL !!!!

  • HariRamNai:

Yea Americans have lost their patience with how the government is selling them out and those days are over. What you think doesn't matter.

  • mbawa2574:

Nobody will buy your "skills" argument or any other BS to defend the H1b. The scam in the H1b is all over the news and Americans are outraged on what going on. Just search YouTube for : Grigsby H1b

  • DirtDiggerMan,

Last I heard was that this US is a capitalist economy. If someone does not want to update the skills in this dynamic world, will lag behind and this is true for everybody not just Americans. All these H1b boys are making between 100k to 250 K. How can they bring your pay down if they are making decent wages ?

  • They are not cheap.Companies hire h1b employees when they can't find Americans to fill the positions. US companies always look for Americans before hiring foreigners. What should company do if they cannot hire a employee with required skills which they need to keep their business going ?

  • I am sure Socialists will answer that company should pick up a high school drop out and train him\her with skills vs. hiring an experienced employee with all the required skills/education. This is not practically possible. All these H1b people pay taxes, obey laws and work as you and me work here.

  • They are part of American Middle class fabric. This is all being created by Loooo/Tommy for money/elections. Please go through the facts and you will understand. I will keep on answering all your queries.

  • mbawa2574:

"Unemployment is 20 year low" many have dropped off the unemployment list due to funds running out. Pay has been going down due to the importation of labor. The middle class in American is growing smaller. All these are facts that have been reported on over and over again.

  • I don't understand that how can someone maintain a legal status and job by overstaying. This is being blown to get political mileage because it is election time and Tommy boy can only play an immigration card. Unemployment is 20 year low. Don't blame people without facts. Go and get evidence from Tommy/Looooo and in case you get one, post here.

  • Every time Immigration Department gives a extension, HR gets a copy. Microsoft Cisco Apple HP NASA Hospitals use H1b visas and now you are telling me Chief researcher at google who was H1b overstayed on his visa.

  • mbawa2574:

"Go and read the law" so what the laws aren't enforced and everybody knows it.

You are an example of why Americans are getting fed up with being insulted by foreigners who want our jobs and our country.

  • Americans,

Pls. Listen. H1B visa is issued for 3 years and with an option of extending every 3 years. Tom and Lou doesnt know a thing and they talk. H1B visa holders pay taxes and live legally and play by the rules.

  • Its just an attempt bu Lou to target H1-B skilled workers. Lou find something better to discuss.

Guys read the secret life of Lou Dobb at

    american dot com/archive/2006/november/lou-dobbs

    before making any decision

  • mbawa2574:

Tommy is for America and Americans. Using the race card doesn't work as you do not speak for the black, brown, and yellows.

  • LvyLeeger:

With all the bad news on the H1b, everyone is becoming educated on just how bad it is. I just wrote letters to my Senators and Congressman and hope other Amercians do the same. Do to the H1b as what was done to the Amnesty Bill. H1b is not good for American workers.

  • mbawa2574:

Most Amercian are behind Tom and You are the reason.

  • moron, H1B is a 6 year visa. do your homework..

  • sassygirl345:

The more I learn about Ron Paul, the less I want to live with his interpretation of the Constitution
