  • so the recipe is 21L water 6kg sugar then classic yeast turbo carbon and the other turbo carbon clear with all the time delays i'm to lazy to type in?

  • Hi is there anywhere on the internet where you can buy step by step recipes for the turbo 500

  • @09drillbit Yes, and if you use the carbon you need to use the turbo clear too

  • @jefarrell53 30 degrees, don't let it go over 24 degrees, if it goes under during fermenting it will take longer ;)

  • @jefarrell53 Just make sure the temperature isnt more than 40. Have done that before and killed the yeast. From 30 to 34 should be fine!

  • I don't use the turbo carbon .. I've done the process both ways and I don't think it makes a difference. Another way I think they can make more money. Don't stress about it :)

  • what is the actual temperture when the yeast goes in

  • Do you have to to use turbo carbon in this mix or can you just filter it later does it make i difference???

  • I have been distilling spirits for about 2 decades and this is the first time I have ever seen anyone use liquid carbon; let alone use any carbon during the fermentation of the mash. I personally utilize a filter snake attached to my parrot so the distilate is what gets filtered at the very end of the run and it works great! But I like this set up and will be obtaining one shortly to try it out useing solar power to operate the still!
