i hope some day to take my 454 powered 89 caprice and race at maxton. but, not for a while, im a michigan college student and road trips to south carolina with me and the wife in a bbc powered full size are a little off budget right now. maybe once i graduate or pay off the house. but man, guysmalley i dig the rod bro! good luck next time out!

Nice! Faster than what I ever want to go!
No, unfortunately!
Mine is ready for paint. Mine is going gloss black, with an airbrushed "true-flame."
But as far as looks...everything you see!
Took 2 years to rod, box, install the x-member, all of the bodywork (chop, ect.), rebuild the new 396, and recover the interior.
Minus the paint.....did everything myself!
I could post a vid of it when it's finished, if you'd like!

Forgot to ask....how fast have you got it going?

This thing sounds like a brute!
I'm normally not into rat rods, but this one looks FUN!
Hi Guy
Any plans to run again at Maxton.

Not with the Rat rod, I have just been doing a few vintage drags.

Hey Chevyguy
The fastest in the mile was 137mph but to go faster I need more cage. but that is fast enough on a 1927 front end, man is that your ride I assume on your page? that is the real deal

how much do people usually sale rat rods at?

Depends, if it is set up for racing & has safety equipment is more, what engine etc. I would say between $5000 to $20,000 and every thing in-between go to some rat rallies and see the different styles, or make your own
