  • whats the difference as washing in the sink? At least i can scrub this items.

  • I have Multiple Chemical Sensitivity and wash my organic clothes by hand to avoid the residue of chemical-based detergents in machines. Is there anyone out there who's used the LaundryPod and is sensitive to chemicals? Wondering what you think. :) Thanks!

  • @carr964 Thank you for the review! I purchased the Breathing Mobile Washer (plunger looking thing) and it's yet to arrive. The workout with it should be great too! LOL!!

  • Spinning is not so great. I still use a salad spinner to get more water ount before I hang dry.

  • @kastnmagic Ok I have it and have been using it alot. Its harder to turn then I thought it would be and if you clothes are really dirty you will need a real washing machine. So I like it over all I do light weight items in it. Tees are fine in it . Hey it gives me a little exercise so thats a good thing..Now we will see how long it holds up.

  • @carr964 Have you used your Laundry POD? What is the verdict?

  • I ordered one should be here by friday 8/5/11 I will post what I think

  • Will it spin by it self??

  • @DMA812 Good news! I emailed the Laundry Pod people and they said Kmart and Sears will start selling it on Sept. 1st. And this month, they'll be launching the Pod on the Home Shopping Network - no confirmed date though. Pretty excited!

  • @DMA812 You know what, I take that last bit of my comment back. xD I HAVE found a machine (electric though) that does both the work - the "twin tub" washing machine. There's a bunch of videos of people using them here on YouTube. But the only thing is there aren't any I know available in the US. You'd have to purchase it from another country.

  • @DMA812 Yeah, probably. I hope the Pods can come back in stock soon, then. I was excited when I read your comment! Haha. You're right, all the machines I found were either just for washing or just for drying. I think it would be too much of a hassle to buy two separate (hand operated) machines. I'd rather stick with something like the Laundry Pod where it can easily do both.

  • @belikeandywarhol Now it says it's out of stock, so they probably just ran out. I was so excited! I can't find any machine, hand operated or electric that does both the washing and spinning.

  • @DMA812 Oh, bummer! I wonder why. :\ I think I'll probably contact the Laundry Pod people themselves on their website to see what other stores are selling them besides Kmart.

  • @belikeandywarhol I'm sorry, I meant to say I just ordered it. 2 Days later, I got an email saying my order was cancelled, they didn't give me a reason, just a phone number to call. I didn't call. I'll order it from someone else if it ever becomes available elsewhere.

  • @DMA812 It's really available at Kmart?! Every time I checked the Laundry Pod's website, their "where to buy" page was always the same and wondered if any places started selling the pod yet. It's good to know Kmart has it! I think you should leave a review for the laundry pod on it's Kmart product page. I'm glad it's working on for you! :)

  • The advantage over the wonder wash is that this spins the water out, that's HUGE. Washing clothes by hand is easy, extracting the water is not. I have a wonder wash, it washes fine, but the clothes come out sopping wet. I have to use it with a spin dryer. This, being one unit that does both, will take up so much less room! My apt is 208 square feet, I need all the space I can get! The Laundry pod is available online now at Kmart, I just bought mine, paid $89 for it.

  • It is going to be available around June!

  • where can I get this?!

  • Advantage this has over the Wonder Wash? It has the drain hose and the water tank. I most certainly would like to try this one out.

  • When will this be released and at what approx price? I love it

  • I will buy this product when it becomes available.
