This is the very, very best Clapton, for me. I love the stuff he did with Howlin Wolf on the London sessions, of course the Cream material, but when it gets down to the roots, THIS is the stuff right here!
Pretty amazing. They made it sound more like it was recorded in the '30s than in the '60s. So much so that I had to do some research just to make sure I had it right.
I bought the first pressing of this on the Purdah label, a subsidiary of Blue Horizon. I loved it then and I still do. The 'B' side, 'Bernard Jenkins' is great, also.
