The teen idols Slik do their song "Don't take your love away, a 45 rpm single in 1976. A young Midge Ure sings this song. He went on to many other good musical things. The MC speaking at the start of this video is Arrows ("I love rock n roll"/Touch too much") drummer Paul Varley.

@TheSandsie13 Bands like Slik and The Arrows were far more musical than their released recordings. Same producer, Phil Coulter. It was the way it was back then. bands generally sounded much heavier live than on their records as a result of the pop side being brought out in production.

they came too late in the day for any real success-like kenny, flintlock etc they were over shadowedby the Rollers. And just around the corner was punk about to blitz them all. cute though!
