Oh, then yes. There are 4 phillips head screws to take it apart.

hey i wanna make the ir pen from johny lee and i bought a 20 pack of ir leds rom dx (good site though i already knew it) but are those lights unscrewable so i can change the led ?

The LED's don't screw in. They just have +/- wires on either side of the batteries, but are easy to replace.

How is the quality of the lights, do they seem like they would at least last a while, or be durable enough to change the batteries without falling apart?

They are the same construction as the regular white LED lights. Construction seems fine and batteries shouldnt be a problem to change, although the batteries are almost the same price as the lights lol.
