What a great idea. I love hot water bottles and always use them warm my bed on cold nights, but I've never thought of using them in this way. Just one thing worries me though - doesn't freezing the bottle damage the rubber? I wouldn't like to have it leak in my bed!

hi and thanks for watching! good thinking! i guess it could be a problem, if the bottle is old and the rubber already brittle or if it is of minor quality. didn't happen to me though and i'm doing this the third summer in a row!

i use lunchbox ice packs and put them in my pillow. they keep me really cool
