Joseph Cerniglia, a New Jersey restaurant owner who previously appeared on an episode of chef Gordon Ramsay's show "Kitchen Nightmares," was found dead in the Hudson River. A body was found soon after a motorist reported seeing a man jump off of the George Washington Bridge. Police have not yet ruled a suicide and are currently conducting an investigation. On the reality TV show, Ramsay criticized how Cerniglia ran his restaurant and wasted food. Cerniglia was depicted on the show as having financial issues. Ramsay once said on the show that Cerniglia's business was going to "swim down the Hudson." He had eerily predicted the troubled chef's fate.

  • Goddamn...Ramsay always takes the blame for other people's shit. In an episode of Kitchen Nightmares in the UK, one of the restaurants he tried to help actually THREW HIM down the river and attempted to sue him. Now some guy jumps into the Hudson because he couldn't take his advice? Honestly, people will hate on Ramsay, but throwing ANYONE under the bus that tries to help you, no matter who the person is or how fucking famous they are, is unforgivable in my book.

  • WTF?!?!? Did she not watch how the show ended?? Chef Ramsey did his best to help that restaurant, with the makeover, the new menu.. wow. What a bullshit report.

  • More like "Blondnews"

  • Gordon Ramsay... Yeah he's trying to sell a TV show (drama, shock value etc.) but most of what he says is quite true. The restaurants wouldn't have called him in if they were doing well. He goes in and gives the either misguided or just plain stupid owners a wake up call.

  • he couldn't handle the truth

  • Debts don't pay themselves overnight even with a new successful restaurant. Have you guys seen how many restaurants Gordon has helped shut its doors because past debts just came right back to bite them? They sought Gordon's help way too late, and this is what happens.

  • This guy was really cool I've worked with him in gallagers NYC

  • @Mistermax30 you knob...... wtf would you have that deluded thought that " RAMSEY KILLED HIM...." Joseph Cerniglia jumped over a year after ramsey filmed the epesode and the business was in a far better position...... If your worried about supseptaple sugestions.... Go kill yourself...!!!!

  • @JustinCase10261 You dumb f@ck you act like she wrote the script, blame her network execs.

  • Don't forget that there was a secret affair between him and his waitress/co-owner, Jessica Marotta (who actually appears in the episode). Also, suicide can stem from ALOT of things, including anti-depressants for example

  • doubt

  • nothing like trying to make the news instead of report it. sometimes its best to keep the mouth shut and be thought a fool rather than to open it and remove all dought.
