  • I know her! She got a job as an assistant district attorney. Persistence pays off!

  • @puma1077 - GSU isn't the worst law school in Atlanta, much less the country. It ranks ahead of both Mercer (#127) and John Marshall (unranked) in GA. Currently tied for 61st by us news out of 143 ranked schools (top 50%). With in-state tuition of only $13,310/yr ,all 3 years cost less than a single year at three of the five schools that share its ranking. (seton hall, case western, and chicago-kent)

I'm a UGA alum, so i'm not playing favorites, I just hate when people say idiotic things.

  • @MrCharlow73 Private practice is hard work, but it is also rewarding.

  • You have a J.D. and a bar card. You don't need an employer, you can go out there and practice law on your own! Go Solo!

  • Some idiot on YouTube was telling me that I should go back to school for a law degree because I have an M.A. in media and can't get a desk job, which is the only thing multiple doctors say that I should be doing with my plantar fasciitis, sciatica, slipped disc, and scoliosis. A grad school colleague had me come to Jacksonville for a 3-month probationary period. I hurt myself badly moving my belongings into storage and was using a cane again my first few days here.

  • @365to173repubsPWNED True but I never take out a loan though

  • @sweetheart2109 It's to the point even networking is not enough, now its getting into the range of being "lucky" to get a job. That's not a risk people should take with student loans.

  • good for her. i'm a lawyer, was unemployed and worked on a tree removal crew. i worked 70 hours and took home $650 dollars a week. as a lawyer i made that much in 2 hours. don't be too proud to get a job outside of the law. i waited tables, sold vacuums door to door, and worked construction. that period was the most interesting of my life. i met so many down to earth people with completely different backgrounds than mine. there are some fascinating people out there!

  • @luxdux3 exactly there will be tons of people who will have the same academic credentials applying for the same jobs. Internships are great but use them to network and market yourself.

  • NETWORK NETWORK YOU HAVE MARKET YOURSELF AND NETWORK LIKE THERE NO TOMORROW. People are going to have to realize network and marketing yourself is key. Did she or anyone ever thought to themselves that companies see the same people everyday? You have do something to make yourself stand out. If you are in a internship use that is as a way to network. Take them out to drinks become friends with them

  • Way too many people apply to law school!
