Besides the obvious effect that the title describes, this was also a test to fake dynamic lighting. The shadows inside the room are not the same before and after the blast.

  • I have a strider but it doesnt fire the Dark Matter Cannon, help?

  • You need to give the npc_strider entity an input for it to fire the cannon. It won't do so just with its AI

  • the way i would have done the shadow thing would to have the normal levle and as soon as the windows get blown up teleport to another room with all the stuff blown.

  • That kind of limits the possible ways of access in and out of that particular room, doesn't it?

  • When I'm mad at someone, I name the entity the name of that person, and fire the Strider's Warp Cannon at it. Makes me feel better. XD

  • One of the strider's inputs is firing the cannon. All you need besides giving the strider that input is having a target I think. I just followed a tutorial back then and it worked.
