Lili Rodriguez: Billing encoding is very much in demand. There are a lot of places you can see in the newspapers, you can see in job ads that they are looking for billing encoders, it's a huge door that you can walk into, so many different places you can work at, there are varieties of different types of places that you can work in and I like that variety, I like having my options open.

Andrea Gregg: Well billing encoding is one of the most lucrative markets right now and for the medical field it's constantly growing so I really, really love billing encoding and I emphasize to all my students the importance of the changing times in which they can grow and this is a market where they can take any position as a billing encoder, whether it's front desk to the back office to office manager to any other field because it gives you that entrance to go somewhere else.

Male Speaker: Becoming certified as both a medical assistant and a coding specialist makes you a vital and flexible asset to future employers as the healthcare industry continues to evolve.

Andrea Gregg: I actually teach the students from the very first time that they go into an office how to do front desk all the way until they get into back desk so that when they do go out here in this field, they don't just go out there looking for one job title, they can assume any position, and that's where they're considered billing encoders multitasking medical assistants here at CFI.

Ann McKnight: The medical field is changing every day so you have to be able to adapt and change with it. And having the medical billing and the medical assistant certifications will help you do that.

Andrea Gregg: You can look for work anywhere - surgical centers, medical facilities, hospitals, physician's offices, specialty offices, rehabilitation, home healthcare. Billing encoding does not just stop at one particular specialty, it's an overall thing. You can do it at home.
