  • do you have any dyno data from this work? my father and I are rebuilding a 1974 with a 72 motor. Looking to do "bang for the buck" mods to her now. Would love any advice. Im in Va. Where are you? Do you have finished heads that you would exchange for a solid head (core exhange) and $?

We have a 6-3-2 Header and a light fly wheel. I want a 225hp (crank not wheel hp) for this little baby. My old man has a Honda S2000. I know that its going to be a PRICEY jouney but hell, why not?

  • @jessamine809

To be honest I think you will have a bit of trouble getting 225 out of a TR6, The head design is not the best and the B&S combo don't work well for high revs. My car has a supercharger on it and it makes about 170 at the wheels. (there is a video of the dyno test) I've heard of one guy that got 210 out of his but it takes a lot of boost. Mine is more just for fun and it gives you a good "kick" when you step on it. If you put too much HP in this car the trans. and rear will go.

  • What was the interference fit on the seat inserts? From the look of it not enough.

  • @eurokid83

    Thank you for your concern.

  • Very nice to see how the job is done. How many hours were required to do this job?

  • Three to four hours, I didn't really time myself, but about that.

  • Hey, awesome work would you consider doing same same to my tr6 head? I've been to many different machine shop but none will work with british car heads...i don't see any difference between working on a 350 heads or a TR6 head but all the same if you would consider it, it would be a huge help!

  • This is the head that came off the car, I did the same work to the one that is on it now with the SC. This will be a spare.

  • Was this after or before the supercharger was installed

  • Ahhhh...I feel like I'm at the dentist office! But he's a great machinist.
