@bunkman64 do you think its him or the venue that is hosting him.

@CParrothead He played here in Jacksonville and charged 137.00 general admission seats. More for front row but the scammers on "TicketSCAMSTER" bought them all up and charged $500.00 to $1000.00 each. Pricks.

@CParrothead I am a musician and I do several Buffett covers. When I play a gig I get asked sometimes to play a buffett song and I always say the same thing.."Sure, just put $137.00 in the tip jar." that usually opens up the can of worms! lol! Look I know Buffett has a Ton of people to pay, but come on man, a freakin' BOTTLE OPENER on his website costs NINE BUCKS! Jeeze..and I thought BEER was expensive! Like I said before, I still like him though, just too pricey for my taste.

@bunkman64- It's still about 38 bucks for general admission and more only if you want a seat in the front. Front row tickets generally resale for about $1000 each, so it seems that the 137 Jimmy is making isn't so high by comparison. Low enough for me, at least. I'll never stop going.

@ Bunkman
I can beat that. I remember seeing him for FREE at the Alabama State Fair.
But what you have to remember is that there are a lot of factors that go into figuring out how much to charge for tickets and very few of them have anything to do with greed or "forgetting where you came from".
It costs a lot of money to keep buses and trucks and band and crew on the road, not to mention all of the support staff for both Buffett and the promotors...

@TheBuffett1 Waisted away again just west of prudenville !

Some people forget about the prices going up on everything! It costs so much for tickets now, because the shows are bigger! There are more fans, so they have to rent stadiums, and such! His albums are dirt cheap at Walmart, compared to other artists! Jimmy for President!

Can't wait to see you at the 'Frog Tiki Bar' in Houghton Lake, Mi this summer....

I'll be looking for you in Key West next Sunday Jimmy. You probably won't be there, but that's ok, your spirit will. I'm heading down to Captain Tony's!
I like Buffett and I can remember when he was the opening act for Gamble Rogers. He depended on the working man for tips and spreading his talent by word of mouth. The working man made him what he is today. Seems like he has forgotten the blue copllar working man charging $137.00 for a general admission ticket to his shows. Damn shame. But you know, I guess success does that to you..makes you forget..but hey, I still like him.
