my speech teacher in high school (the guy who taught me about interviews) always said, "You can always overdress and go down, but you can never under dress and go up.

I know how you feel, actually if you go to SYMS you can find some really great suits for cheap :)

I don't really like how suits are so expensive!
During an interview, I end up wearing something somewhat casual since I don't own a suit...it definitely looks bad on my part :[

I hate suits, it's more important to be comfortable. I've never worn a suit to an interview.

may i ask, is this UK or US interview you are talking about? coz here in UK all interviews are held in a smart dress (ie tie and a suite) for most of the jobs, apart from very few
