    "No need to convince me.."

    Sorry. ^_^;

  • @allgoo19 No need to convince me, I was being sarcastic. I don't think its dangerous at all. Its a ridiculous law, an average male cyclist can put out 500w for short periods so there's no reason why it should be any less than that. But really if they were smart they would regulate the top speed not the wattage of the motor.

    " Anything over 200w is just too dangerous for us..."

    The power from motor is limited to 1:2 ration against rider's pedaloing effort. It won't move forward unless the rider start pedaling then harder he pushes, it adds more power.

    It also has limit at about 15 MPH, the motor will stop pushing forward. Beyond that speed, it becomes the same as a regualr bicycle.

    Its main advantage is to climb the hill easier, not go faster.

  • That bike would have to be downgraded with a current limiter to be legal in Australia. Anything over 200w is just too dangerous for us...

  • 45 miles on a charge the chevy volt can only do 40 and thats without using the airconditioner at $45K thats expensive

  • How heavy ?

    45 (flat) miles (assisted) ?

  • I think Best Buy are selling these.
