i too am humbled by it. abida is a treasure for us all to cherish. i have a kabir das playlist that you may enjoy. also amongst all the names mentioned in your channel the name of farid ayaz of karachi is missing. he was the star performer at the recent kabir festival in bangalore. listen to his soulful singing here. see "neeki lagat mohe apney piya ki"

ritu, also if you are interested in the words of kabir das, look out for the music of mukhtar ali of india. shabnam virmani has produced a beautiful CD of his as well as a wonderful documentary film entitled "Had Anhad". search under the kabir project. best

wah arif bhai kya baat hai. kabir was way ahead of european enlightenment, in professing modern secular values but without the disease of reductionist logic which has turned western societies into pure hedonist culture-less entities. he was deeply religious in a secular fashion which is a concept which only ppl in the subcontinent can understand.
