150 Joer eisebunn zu Lëtzebuerg - 25. Januari 2009: D'Nostalgie um zuch: 2 - Diesel (cab ride)

The first event for the 150th anniversary of the Luxembourgian railways was held on Januari 25, 2009: Commuter trips on the Attert line between Ettelbruck and Bissen with steam locomotive 5519 and diesel engine 1604.
This video shows a cab ride (and a few outer shots) between Bissen and Colmar-Usines taken from the 1604.
I would like to thank the crew on the 1604 for the invitation to film the trip from the cabin!

Het eerste evenement voor 150 jaar spoorwegen in Luxemburg werd gehouden op 25 januari 2009: Pendelritten op de Attertlijn tussen Ettelbruck en Bissen met stoomlocomotief 5519 en diesellocomotief 1604.
Deze video toont een cabinerit (en enkele buitenopnames) tussen Bissen en Colmar-Usines vanuit de 1604.
Via deze weg wil de crew van de 1604 bedanken voor de uitnodiging om de rit vanuit de cabine te filmen!

I'm not into steam locos but I did some searching on the Internet and found out that the CFL 5519 is a BR42 and SNCB 26101 is a BR52. But I don't know what the difference is between these two types.

Yes, the Vennbahn definitely was great! I was there in 2001. Very friendly and helpful people. They explained everything if you just asked for it...

Really too bad they´re gone. And some remailing historic locos + cars are rusting and rusting in Raeren now ...
