This is standard wildfire suppression tactics used in the southeastern United States. Using a dozer, a firebreak is plowed around the fire to remove potential fuel from the fire. This fire was somewhat of an anomaly because the weather this particular day was not conducive for wildfire activity. I just happened to have my helmet cam mounted on the dozer this day and was able to capture some decent footage. The video has been edited down to less than ten minutes. The actual suppression time on this fire was close to an hour using a couple of John Deere Dozers fitted with fire plows. NO WATER WAS WASTED IN THE SUPPRESSION OF THIS FIRE.
