  • i hear quite good and had speech therapy so i speak well but it varies with different people depending on thier deafness. ive had my a long time and its taken 16 yrs to get to this point of eople not even knowing im deaf! if u have any other Qs feel free to ask :)

  • Laura, your story is so inspirational and I am sure will help many people from your experience. I am the oldest of 8 children to deaf parents - I was the "interpreter" all growing up for my parents and never regretted it. I am a certified sign language interpreter and work mostly at the colleges. I am from Upstate NY. Thanks for sharing your story :)

  • @Butterflyjonesful thank you for you rcomment. i am happy if my story inspires people. I may be putting up a new video soon if i get time as i might another op concerning my eyes. its great that your parents have inspired you to be an interpeter for colleges. :)
