In this tutorial I show you how to set up a very simplistic basic warfare map, in hopes that you can take this tutorial and apply it to one of your maps you may be working on. This tutorial was made by request, thanks for all who watch my videos please rate, appreciate and subscribe. This is Nick Stocker with demonic procedures, just remmember the demons inside.

  • how do u get the ut3 editor?

  • @airsoftguy15551 You used to have to buy UT3 the game. Can get it for about 10 bucks now probably. Now you can download UDK for free. It is essentially the same thing but free and with less assets. My tutorials will work on it, but the layout is different. Just google UDK.

  • infact im having trouble just linking 1 node to the cores... ive just tried this on a new map

    i cant get the linked lines on my map

  • are you linking them in your world properties/map info?

    I am still wondering how to make vehicles spawn after a core is captured, maybe can be ur next tutorial.

  • You have to open packages with the Generic Browser then you can find materials. Try opening the following package:

    C:\Program Files\Unreal Tournament 3\UTGame\CookedPC\HU_Base.upk

    This basic package contains mesh objects and materials. Once you open it select "materials" and on the package name click "fully Load" and you should have a bunch of materials you can apply as textures. Hope that helps.

  • Well, I've been watching all of your video's. But I"'ve kind of a problem, when i open my texture browser, there are no textures. What can you do about it? I've bought the game in the shop so i should contain everything right?

  • Maybe the thing under UT_PowerNode_Content? The countdown node?

  • made a basic modle of the map

    Saved it as war-battlechess

    added the cores and nodes

    then in world properties / world info then map info ut onslaught info Node links /

    from core to middle node

    from core to middle node

    added the orb's for both teams

    added player start

  • see basicly what i'm getting is at 5.21 i have the orb but no core

    i know its gona be a b$#$% to link up all the nodes and i dont mind but that i have tryed 2 times now and I still cant get it to work

  • ok mate had a bit of a problem

    so my map is basicly a Giants chess board right

    every single square on the chess board "64" has a node on it - 2 for the cores but anyways I'm having all the nodes linking all up to each other ive tried twice to get them to apear but its not working T.T+ how do i get it so when u take a node the vehicles spawn

  • Hmmmm, I'll have to take gander at that. Don't play the game very much.

  • the standalone nodes that can be captured at any time, are usually in the center of the map, and if held for a certain time period, usually 60 seconds, damages the enemy core and takes off 20 hp, even if the core is shielded. One map I know is (i think) called floodgate or something like that

  • The explosion is handle by Kismet and particle systems and to set it up would take to long to explain to I left it out. Could you clarify what you mean by the nodes that overload the core? are you talking about the power balls?

  • only qwestion is how do you make nodes that overload the core? Also If you blow up the core there is no animation. I cant seem to fix that. Any tipes?

  • Impossible, 360 does not support mods or custom content.

  • do you no how to play it on a 360?
