When I was 18 i took WAY too many shrooms and ended up in a State hospital for 2 months. I had previously taken smaller doses of LSD and was still riding on the traces of that trip. I wouldn't recommend Mushrooms any more than LSD. If I took smaller doses . I don't regret it either way and I'm proud of my experience. I jumped off of my house. lol. If I lived on a highrise like Art Linketter's daughter I would've involuntarily commited suicide. lol. so I was pretty lucky. Leary is awesome tho.lol

Interesting way to look at the word "understand" from a new perspective...but to view knowledge based upon a ledge can be expressed using a better analogy...

Brilliant. He completely knows the meaning of the word 'understand.' Not too many people truly know what they're sayig when they say they 'understand' something. Understand means to stand under the ledge of knowing. So to truly hold that knowledge you must overstand that ledge.

I go to a college and one of my teachers is a Hindu who is rather spiritual. She commented that the closest she could describe being at "one" with the earth was a deep sleep where you wake up feeling great. I was sad for her because she will never know the divinity of a psychedelic experience or even be able to imagine it.

in my view, a person who has had either a truly religious experience or a positive, life-altering drug experience is a person unlikely to enter into ego-driven metaphysical debates.
