This interviewer was such a dick...take off your glasses, hat, clothes, and etc. Why he wanted to look in his eyes? These doochbags don't understand that they are messin' with some of the coolest rockstars ever.

It looks like the road had taken a toll on Rick. He looks so bloated and the bags under his eyes...the band at this time needed to take some time off to regroup and come up with a better batch of songs then what was to eventually be the underwhelming Busted album. Wish they could have had the creative control they have of their music now, back then.

BTW, That Kinetic Playground they spoke of was torn down a couple years ago. Human remains were found in the dirt below. (Gotta love Chicago) It's now the Kinetic lofts. Seriously.

Probably the most honest and coherent interview I've ever seen in terms of Rick not pissing around and making shit up. Comprehensive story of the the pre-Trick years, filling in all the gaps. Tom always seems like he'd be the nicest guy to hang out with. Egoless. Rick always seems annoyed when he's interviewed. Which is ironic because I interviewed him in 97 (?) when the second self-titled LP came out and he was alarmingly friendly.
And surely Townshend influenced him in the early 70s?

Nice to see some history here, but I sensed Rick was a bit perturbed with the questions and comments from the interviewer. His usual humor and wit never had a chance.
