Hi, thanks for the lesson. I'm curious, if you wanted to use content aware scaling to take this photo vertically, would that have distorted the couple? Reason I'm asking is that I used the steps you presented to try and expand my picture vertically, and even though I've used the lasso tool to protect the subjects, it still expands them. thoughts?

@beachbumkg - yes, you should be able to expand an image vertically. Without seeing your machine, my first instinct is that the channel needed to be set as "Protected" in the Content-Aware options bar. Making & saving the selection is just the first part to keep the data from distorted.

Could you please tell me how can I make the background white of an image in Photo shop cs4?
amiransari 1 year ago
@amiransari - if you just want to fill the background with a white color you can goto Edit-->Fill then choose White as the color. If you're attempting to place an object on a white background, then you will need to make a selection of the object first to isolate it on it's own layer.

Whirlwind day! Thanks everyone for the comments!

just 1 note:
you should show also the classic way instead of shortcuts only........for example: unlocking the background layer at 1:09
btw: great video :)

@DeViLvs - thanks for the feedback. The challenge for me is not overloading folks with too much info during the videos. The other issue is being too repetitive when looking at the videos as a series. You'll find I try to elaborate when it makes sense, but then use shortcut to keep things moving along.
Glad you liked the video, and thanks again for the feedback.
