As the title says. It's open to interpretation so if you want to discuss what you saw or any meanings you took from it feel free to discuss, otherwise just enjoy it for what it is! This video also contains my first lip-sync in claymation.

Film Notes:
- About 38 seconds of animation, which comes out at around 912 pictures give or take.
- Yes, that's my voice in the lip-sync.
- The music is from SoundSnap.

General FAQ:
- I use an oil-based clay called Belgrave but it's only sold in Australia.
- I film at 24fps
- I use a Canon M700i DV Camcorder connected to my computer through a firewire cable.
- I use Stop Motion Pro V6 HD to make my animations. Go to http://www.stopmotionpro.com to check it out.

  • Hey @mamshmam,

How'd you make the rectangular prism get sliced up and then fix itself?

  • @madminnycar I animated the sliced up bit, then reversed that footage. To make the bit immediately following it I just modelled the clay as close as I could to the original shape and made it morph into something else to make it less noticeable.

  • @mamshmam Cool, thanks. One more question, do you use onion skinning constantly or just for bits like this? Thanks again.

  • @madminnycar Yeah I always have it turned on, even if I don't necessarily need it for the scene.

  • How long does it take for you to make an animation like this??? :3

  • @SigherTheDoll It takes about 8 hours for 30 seconds of animation, give or take a couple of hours depending on the complexity of the animation.

  • @zambelimama Quality over quantity I suppose. 12fps is too choppy for me.

  • 24 FPS!!!!!!!! Wtf dude. Why so detailed??????
