What the hell is that?? ----1. Compressions are ok, better than nothing, but for someone who works as a medical ....emergency whatever its called, its really bad. ----2.They put an oxygen mask on while reanimation? What about Bag him - i dont think he is breathing during reanimation. ------3.Intraosseus medication?? i've never seen this in my whole life in practice, neither the paediatric emergency doctors i work with in different clinics during my life. intubate! you're not bagging anyway.SORRY

btw. i'm a med student, so i SHOULD know, but to learn and train is at our clinic only for doctors, and a weekend costs lots of money. education is not that simple and costs money, even for a medstudent.

meanwhile helper on the head makes intubation ready during compressions, intubates, make adrenalin ready, then 3:10.000 into the tubus.

This is long time ago. But now, the main thing i see is that there are no 3 Defibrillations at the beginning, also i cant see in the videos on youtube what it is like when 2 Paramedics are alone with equipment and do it from the beginning to the end etc.

Can someone help me out pease? I am from a time, where you did this in ACLS:

Check for response,breathing etc, while the other helper is on the head preparing "ambumask" with oxygen 15L/min. When no pulse, then 2 breathings, and then compressions. while compressions, the other helper attaches EKG, and looks about the rythm while compressions have stopped. If we have a FIB: Defibrillate 200 J, again 200J, then 300J. Continue 2 breathings and 30 compressions for 2 minutes.

read the article on JEMS: the cerebral recover rate went up to 48% over the abysmal rate of 15% before this CCR was implemented. I for one think this is a remarkable advance to CPR. I am a Cert Resp Therapist since 1975, I am in my last year for my Assoc Degr in Nursing for my RN, I am an Army trained 91C20 since 1991 so I am a cynical "person". This will save MANY lives. God bless those who discovered it.

Interesting. Non rebreather at first. No checking for rythm or pulse untill when??? Going right for the I/O. Hmmmmmm. Will have to learn more about this new ACLS.
