  • stolar wasn't all to blame the console was doomed from the start, adleast he almost saved sega with the Dreamcast till they fired him.

  • @steve5123456789 yep you do have a point there, he just could've handled the saturn alot better

  • Like i said in the previous video.

Sega should have used the saturn-day idea or better yet release the saturn after the PSX was released and it would have made Wal mart,KB-toys and game developers happy and sales would have risen up to the top and had a lower price tag dominating the PSX.

Also they should have not hired Bernie Stolar cuz he didn't want 2D fighting games or RPG's such as grandia to be released in the USA. Bernie single handedly killed the saturn! Screw you Stolar!

  • hmmm while stolar definately fucked up with the saturn he did brilliantly in the decisions he made for dreamcast in all fairness... but yeah all the mistakes he made were pretty amateur and completely retarded

  • FUCK YOU BERNIE STOLAR OR WHATEVER SEGA SATURN RPGs WOULD KICK ASS!!! >=O

EVERY RPG I'VE SEEN THERE IS AMAZING, BETTER THAN THE PLAYSTATION, except for final fantasy and xenogears, and digimon 3, BUT STILL!!!

  • The Saturn would've made a great system if the company, itself, didn't make poor decisions and market strategy.

  • how could bernie stolar say that about rpgs had he never heard about the snes? that console was well known in the us for rpgs >.>

  • 7:00 GAME OVER YEAAAAAAA...... LMAO.. How dare you..

  • @kiltsonfire164

I know how you feel, but Bernie Stolar wasn't necessarily wrong when he didn't want RPGs. At the time he made that comment, RPG's still weren't that popular in the USA, they weren't popular until after Final Fantasy VII, several months after Bernie made that comment. And no one could have predicted the shift from hardcore arcade games, to long detailed RPGs at the time. While some RPGs were popular in the USA, not enough were to warrant bringing over every single one.

  • @Pogogacy

FF VII was fine, FF VII fanboys, yeah, not so much.

  • @Pogogacy Yeah someone died making Panzer dragoon saga it was that hard to program no jokes.

  • @PKUltimaga

Panzer Dragoon Saga and Shining Force III are better than anything released on the Playstation (or any other rival console for that matter), including the laughably overrated Final Fantasy VII.

  • @modewr

they have mostly released crap since the end of the dreamcast and there developers moved on. however they released a new sega rally which is meant to be really good, and i really enjoyed valkyria chronicles on the ps3. resonace of fate also had some good ideas and was on the whole enjoyable. also i enjoyed jet set radio future on the xbox and the wii exclusive madworld before it got really stupidly hard out of nowhere.

but yea sega is not making the great games they once did....

  • @steve5123456789

i should clarify what i meant by outdated.

when the promotions for n64 arrived in the uk and it was featured on game shows over here, it was showing off mario 64 and that pad with the control stick. it looked amazing graphically, and the pad was a real step forward. the ps1 had the power and they released the dual-shock which is one of the best pad designs of all time.

the saturn looked outdated and not well thought out by comparison to them, which is a shame.
