Jailbreak and Unlock iOS 4.0.2 IPhone 4/ 3GS/ 3G

This is a easy way to jailbreak and unlock your iphone 3gs/ Iphone 4. For the iphone 4 it has to be the old bootrom but for the 3gs it doesn't matter which boot rom you have new or old, but it does require shsh files to be saved previously. The Iphone i used had not been previously jailbroken it had only been updated TO 4.0.2

The iphone 4 downgrade will not work for some of you because it requires previously saved SHSH cydia files.

download Iphone 4 restore ISPW from:

http://www.felixbruns.de/iPod/firmware/
(choose the 4.0.1 firmware ISPW from the drop down list and just follow the video)

This method should work with the MC model Iphones, because it deals mostly with itunes and not the actual iphone. It bypasses the itunes restore ispw verification from a third party server.

If this isn't working for you kedashy says to:

rename the 4.0.1 file to 4.0.2 8A400 restore then restart computer and then open itunes after restart and connect 3gs to itunes and hold the shift and click restore and try it... if you follow what i say then it will work 100%... good luck

When i do this, and i start restoring, a message comes up saying... will erase and restore your iphone. if this is ok press restore. If i hit restore, will it erase all my music, apps, contacts, pictures etc? please help
