The Best Concert Ever

If I was a remotely good birder I'd have a clue what this is about.

Luckily I'm not.

I'm just a guy who, when all else fails, walks out into the rain.

I have my suspicions (mockingbird?) but I'll keep them in parentheses.

I listened and loved and blew the little fellow a kiss right after I shut the camera off.

Enough with the exposition.

@bugsinrug It's a northern mockingbird, Chris. It's funny; I've seen them lots of times (their wings in flight are definitely memorable things) but having never heard them sing I thought they were pigeons or doves. I figured mockingbirds were Southern birds exclusively. I'm blaming my ignorance on Harper Lee. :)

@snarkdetriomphe It was one of those things where you're having a rough day and (seemingly) decide to do something that makes no sense and end up having something wonderful happen. All I know is, I walked in to a field feeling bad and a little while later was thanking and blowing a kiss to a mockingbird.

For some reason, Van Morrison singing, "Take it where you find it/ Don't leave it alone" just rolled through my brain. Van the Man has excellent timing. :)
