PICTON CASTLE crew members visited Avarua School in Rarotonga, Cook Islands in August 2010 to deliver donated books and school supplies. Books and supplies were donated by generous individuals, schools and organizations in Nova Scotia and loaded on the ship before she sailed in May 2010 on her fifth world circumnavigation voyage. PICTON CASTLE is a sail training ship with room aboard for 52 crew members, including 14 professional crew and 38 trainee crew. No experience is necessary to sail with us and spaces are still available starting in Bali in November 2010 and South Africa in February 2011. Check out www.picton-castle.com for details.
