@thescrappingknitter I agree, I couldn't follow this at all! I think experts forget what it feels like to be a beginner and they go waay too fast.

Just a quick note, using a magic circle as the beginning loop will eliminate your 'hole' (small or large) at the beginning of your project :) Great video thankyou!

@Sunflowergal74 Yep, you're right! In my later videos, I use and demonstrate the double ring and magic circle methods.

I have a 5.5. Will that effect the size?
Newmoonlove955 3 weeks ago
@Newmoonlove955 Yes it will. The key is the difference in size between the yarn and the hook. If you crochet worsted weight yarn with a 5.5mm hook, the resulting fabric is looser and lacier than that crocheted with a 4mm hook. Stuffing it properly will produce holes through which the stuffing can be seen and that's not as attractive. I would use a 5.5mm hook making something like a hat or even a scarf that I'd expect to drape nicely, but not an amigurumi.

i didnt get 2 extra stitches, maybe you didn take all the single stitches out before you put your yarn marker in?

@NekoReaper7 Gosh, who knows? Hahah I'm glad you ended up with the right number of stitches. I was pretty much a beginner when I made these first videos so many years ago! lol
