An arrangement for baroque lute by Nigel North of Vivaldi's Violin Concerto, RV 230, originally in D major. Bach also made an arrangement for keyboard (BWV 972). I've zoomed out for the "tutti" orchestral sections and zoomed in for the solo violin. A tough piece (I get to play the lowest and almost the highest note on the lute simultaneously!) but beautiful and very satisfying. Nigel has recorded the entire concerto on his CD "Baroque Lute" on Linn Records

  • Very nice piece and performance. Do you ever get to use that piano behind you, or is it owned by someone else?

    All the best.

  • My daughter plays the piano, but I've been known to take down the Didgeridoo and blow!

  • beautiful music and playing
