Achilles. The most remembered Greek warrior.
He was the son of the nymph Thetis and Peleus,
the king of the Myrmidons.
Ajax was the son of Telamon, who was the son of Aeacus and grandson of Zeus. Cousin of Achilles.
Greek heroes like Achilles were driven by a quest for personal honor and fame. There was no good heaven to go to, so the only way you could live on, was to make a mark that would endure in legend and the song of bards.
3.300 years later, the epic story lives on!
