I quickly read a section of Wikepedia's bio on Novak & was actually surprised. The image I had before of him [Novak] was just another Fixed Noise Chicken Hawk commentator that cheer-leaded us into an illegal war. ( I'll never forgive him for his role in the CIA leak scandal as my father is retired CIA & that's personal 4 me ) Regardless I find myself feeling more a sense of acknowledgment, not quite respect, of someone who did serve in Uniform & did @ least seem to balance some of his views. RIP

Novak was considered one of the most influential journalists in the US. Over the years, he waged a battle against Israel's friends in Washington, claiming they had too much influence over the administration.
I hope wherever he goes, he will be judged accordingly.
