Origami: Duck Race

----------
Today's origami lesson is three hundred and twenty-nine in the series. Today we will continue our little break from dogs again to continue with things for Kids' Day in Japan. Kids' Day is on May 5th. It used to be a celebration for only boys in Japan, but lately the celebration has expanded to include girls as well. I thought we could make some fun toy/game origami and today's is a racing track of sorts in water that you can race little ducks on. The same track can be used for boats which we will be making tomorrow.

  • is the pond on a 12inx12in paper

  • @KrazyAwesomeful About, yes. If you use a piece that is 12 x 12 inches you should get a good sized pond that will work well with the ducks. Thanks for watching!

  • It sounds like you have a cold. Are you ok?

  • @brofurlo Try to make it so that the size of the paper you use for your duck is three times bigger than the one you use for the racing place. So for the one I made the duck is about 10 cm on one side, so if I take 10 x 3 then that is 30 which is how long one side of my racing place is. Does that help? ;>

  • @happypuppytruffles what'sa ratio? im 8

  • @brofurlo In this video the racing place was 29 x 29 cm and the duck was 11 x 11 cm. About a 1 to 3 ratio. I hope that helps a bit. Best of luck!
