If I put some aluminum foil in the shape of a parabolic reflector and put the transmitter antennae for the plane in it, would it concentrate the radio waves allowing me to go farther?

I will give you news regarding the project in the next future
through E-mail (we are already O.T. on Youtube )
I thank you for your interest in the project!
The project tracking Spar only concerns the ground station,
the course depends on the power of the TX, for this it depends on the laws of your country
what I know however to be enough permissive.
hi!

10 or 15 km is Good for what i have to do.

@AnimationSector Hello, you ask what is theoretically possible. A change would require recalibration parameters of the tracking. Today there are commercial systems very cheap and simple to perform GPS-based tracking. I consider it important to have thorough knowledge of the radio-frequency to draw a efficient parabolic antenna.

Hi, congratulations for the system!
Was that video signal transmitted on the flight in real-time? What was the speed in bits per second?

Thanks, the transmission is in analog mode with Airwave module.
The vision is in real time and recording in ground station.

Ps. with analog transmission so I can not quantify the BPS

I would love to have a tracker, so I could put a high gain directional antenna, and get massive range. I was thinking along the lines of a 14dbi yagi antenna. The beam width is very small, not practical for normal use.

My system use a patch of 14 Db ( Home Made )
because I think the best performance in steps
on the vertical of Ground Station ( solve polarization problems )
and lobe is greater openness.
However, this adaptable to yagi , changing the parameters of the algorithm search for the beam and parameters of drivers
for weight and inertial of the new structure.
