dude didn't do the hard part- hiding the real rose in your hand while making the flashpaper rose. he obviously picked up the real rose off-screen after already making the paper rose.

first he do the rose of flash paper, and the camera cut and now he have the rose in the hand and he light the flashpaper and just take off his fingers and there is the rose... this is a very simple trick
